La Mode Street Style | When The Prints Come Out to Play

Okay, I know I’ve done a similar Street Style post on patterned pants before, but I don’t think that I – along with possibly everyone in the fashion industry – can get over the incredible spew of prints we’ve been seeing for this season. From Proenza Schouler, Jil Sander, Prada, Givenchy and the list goes on! Prints like foulards (scarf print), floral, paisley, camouflage, and that list goes on too! The truth is, we all can’t get enough. Here’s another compilation of street style shots for you to muse on this Saturday. Cheers to a great weekend!

La Mode Street Style | White Out

This weekend was probably the first weekend of my life, where I couldn’t decide anything I wanted to do. I mean, I was in a complete mess! Terribly confused, and at points when I decided to do absolutely nothing, I was bored out of my mind. Street style is here, and barely made it for Saturday. Today I made a decision to stop posting for a while, but only a few minutes ago I had to question myself, and ask if that really made sense. Maybe I’ll find enough words to describe my feelings in this month’s Story to Tell, but for now let’s move on to some street style. Since the last La Mode Street Style edition was a photo compilation of all black, this time around, I am pushing a trend that has been for so long on my mind, all white! There’s honestly nothing quite like it, and it’s like a state of complete purity. It definitely makes anyone wearing it stand out, and that’s one of the sole reasons I love it!

La Mode Street Style | All Black Everything

Although black may be associated with death, it has always seemed to be one of the “colors” that can be channelled through an entire outfit and come off as, bold and striking. I love black; further more I love to see All-Black outfits, which to me become much more like inspiration. As we move further away from Fall/Winter and into the Spring/Summer season, it’s time to say goodbye to tones of navy, grey and black. Here’s my way of paying homage to them, with this compilation. I hope you enjoy…

La Mode Street Style | The College Varsity

I wanted to publish this street style post like I always do on Saturday. But once again, for some reason, my internet was not working! After contacting the service provider over and over, it finally worked coming onto the late hours of the night. Anyway, onto my post. I find Varsity jackets awfully cool and simple, but incredibly stylish with their mixed colors and often crested breasts. For fall, they were a huge hit, being worn on the streets from during the menswear shows in Paris and Milan, and even for London and New York fashion week. I think they are the perfect mix of classic and casual, as they offer a great fit and look, but are definitely comfortable. Check out my compilation of street style photos, this week focusing on the varsity.

La Mode Street Style | Backpacked

Seems like I’m emphasizing my current obsession with backpacks more and more, especially after deciding that this edition of La Mode Street Style should focus on rucksacks which carry a very retro vintage feel to them.

La Mode Street Style | Topped Off & Brimmed

With many Dior Homme collections resonating in my memory, I’ve often been in love with structured hats, especially ones with wide brims. The past menswear season has seen many fashionistos and fashinistas on the streets of Paris and Milan, donning amazing looks, topped off by hats. Being my first street style post for the year 2012, I present with great joy the very hat photos that I adore and love.

La Mode Street Style | The Fur Coat Obsession

I’ve been incredibly busy lately, and luckily I have a bit of free time during the day to blog. Now, I don’t think I can reiterate enough how amazingly stunning fur is this season. Maybe it’s because I’ve been seeing it tons of times from the runway to the streets, or possibly it’s because I’ve fallen in love with the fabric itself over time. Today I bring you La Mode Street Style with a twist, directly rom the runway to the streets!
